For the past eight years, The Dance Hub has offered rent subsidies for rehearsal space to individual artists and non-profit performing groups. Now, thanks to an organizational development grant from the Towbes Fund for the Performing Arts, we are able to expand this program to cover rentals to active non-profit organizations for any purpose, including rehearsal, classes, or workshops.

The subsidy covers 50% of rental costs in either studio as follows:

  • Big studio: $22.50/hr
  • Victoria studio: $20/hr

If you are a choreographer or representative of a non-profit, please fill out the application below.

Program Credit

Grant awardees must credit The Dance Hub for a choreographic rent subsidy in the following way:

“The creation/restaging of [YOUR WORK] was made possible in part by a Rent Subsidy Grant from American Dance and Music, Inc.”

Choreographers must send a PDF of the performance program showing this credit for the subsidized work. Please send to info@dancehbsb.org. This will be required for future grants.

The Dance Hub Rent Subsidy is funded by an Organizational Development Grant from the Towbes Fund for the Performing Arts

I dance because since I was a little boy I was inspired by my wonderful parents who were both professional dancers with the Ballet National of Cuba. I love the beauty, elegance, complexity and magic of dance. I knew since a very early age that ballet was my destiny.
