About the Variation

Katie will teach Armida’s Pavilion Variation, also known as Paquita variation #4, choreography by Petipa. She will provide various options/substitutions to steps based on student experience.

From Katie:

“This variation will give you the opportunity to use the steps and movements you practice in class, and to dance a classical ballet variation that has been performed for generations. Armida’s Pavilion Variation makes the dancer feel beautiful and captivates the audience with its lush port de bras and dreamy music. It is the very definition of the word enchanting, and I will work with you to bring out sparkling elegance of this variation.”
